Mobility or the ability to be able to move the cabinet around from place to place may come into play. You will be able to find them with small caster wheels all the way up to very large or invisible recessed wheels, the flexibility you desire is there for you.

Be sure to consider what material it is manufactured from as you make your final decision. Metal or steel may be the most readily available but today's home office file cabinet may be had in wood or plastic. These newer materials may also give you a more desirable or different finish, don't overlook their availability and compare prices.

Save yourself some time and do most of your research before you go looking because there are way too many styles, designs, models, colors and other variations when you get to the showroom floor. You may spend an entire day just looking and leave without anything. Best to try and know pretty well what you want before hand.
